Jurgen Klopp’s Redmen are making their way to sunny Singapore this July for the inaugural Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy 2022, with the Premier League giants set to face Crystal Palace.

This will be the first time Liverpool will be making an appearance in the island nation since 2011.

Many Southeast Asian Reds will be keen to get their hands on a ticket for the July blockbuster, so here are some key details you’ll need to know.

1. Liverpool's full squad is expected to make the trip

Liverpool’s trip to Singapore will be part of the squad’s pre-season preparations for the 2022/23 season, and with no international tournaments taking place in the summer (as the World Cup has been pushed to the end of the year), superstars like Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all expected to make an appearance.

So after many years after watching them from afar, this is an opportunity like no other to see these living Liverpool legends in the flesh.

2. The match takes place three days after facing Man United

Liverpool are set to play fierce rivals Manchester United just three days prior to the match in Singapore on July 12. That match will take place in Bangkok.

Whether or not key players get rested due to the fixture remains to be seen, but with all pre-season matches, full squad rotations are bound to happen and we’ll be sure to see glimpses of fan favourites, even if it’s in the form of a cameo.

3. There are two events taking place in Singapore

While all eyes will be on the actual matchday, it has also been confirmed that an open training session will be held the day prior to the big game at the Singapore National Stadium. The training session will be ticketed, so diehard Liverpool fans in Singapore will have the opportunity to watch their favourite players twice in a week.

The Open Training Session will begin at 6:30pm on July 14, while the match itself will start at 8:35pm on July 15.

4. Tickets go on sale on May 17
(Pre-sale from May 10 for selected fans)

Tickets for the match against Crystal Palace will go on sale on May 17 from the Ticketek Singapore website. Fans who are keen to be the first to purchase tickets can register themselves on a waitlist, although it does not guarantee a purchase.

Furthermore, for Singapore-based fans, it has been revealed that several partners will be giving pre-sale access to their customers. StarHub customers, for instance, will be given first dibs on tickets one week prior to its release. The presale period will be held from 10am on May 10 to 11:59pm on May 12.

5. Prices start from S$149

Prices for the tickets are a little on the high side, with the Bronze category starting at S$149. The most expensive tier is Platinum, which will set you back S$299 per ticket. There will also be allocated areas for Liverpool and Crystal Palace ends on either end of the stadium, so as to mimic the famous Kop end in Anfield. Tickets at either area are priced at S$199.
