Tasek Jurong had four U12 players on the field this day and they were understandably thrilled at the opportunity to take instruction from the Valencia CF Academy coaches.

“We are a charity organisation, and we do a lot of programs to help the youth in the community through sports and other programs,” said Bryan Tan, Tasek Jurong Program Manager.

“The boys are quite excited because the zujuGP YoungWarrior Scholarship is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To have the chance to attend this football clinic is an eye-opening experience for them and to have professional coaches coming all the way from Valencia, a well-known club in Spain, is amazing.

“They told me they are very excited to attend this football clinic and are looking forward to it, as well as a chance to fly to Spain.”

The second edition of the ActiveSG Cup is being held with the aim of cultivating a stronger interest in sport, promoting greater sport participation and supporting pathway development for aspiring athletes in Singapore.

One outstanding individual each from the U10, U12 and U14 categories will travel to Spain for in 2023 as part of the zujuGP YoungWarrior Scholarship program to participate in the Valencia CF Summer Camp next year.
